This course offers intermediate level Electrical concepts and skills in wiring construction.
Topics: Theory - Tools - Installation / Testing - Wiring - Blueprint Reading
This workshop is intended to assist individuals in learning more about maintenance issues, as a “hands-on” training. Tools will be provided, and their uses will be covered. It is important to know about ways to maintain a home but it is also important to know how to use and apply the information presented. Participants will be given the opportunity to learn fundamental information on how to apply what they learn from the material in the workshop and gain a personal hands-on experience on how to better maintain their own homes and property.
Who should attend:
Anyone who would like a better understanding of electrical theory and concepts.
This Hands-On training is ideal for Force Account Crew, Housing Authority staff, Utility Department staff, Supervisors, and Maintenance personnel. No prior knowledge of electricity is required.
Mr. Garcia has worked in the electrical field since 1977 and has been an Electrical Instructor for the Union Apprenticeship from 1981 to 1994. He obtained his Electrical Contractors License Certification in 1984 and his Electrical Inspector Certification in 1994. He is presently working as an Electrical Construction Inspector at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
